Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Fharquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox received a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She survived on a student stipend and did part-time jobs to supplement her budget. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and was contemplating a different path she might follow. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976 when she joined the group called Dragons Playground. The group didn't make it to the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. She was the lead singer to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. The band was where she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created The duo Eurythmics. Lennox went on to release her first solo album Diva. This came out in 1992. The album was an enormous hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in the month of November. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's most loved blues, jazz, and soul songs of her youth. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera a collection comprising four tracks improvised by piano. This E.P. The album is a companion to her album Now I Let the door open... art installation, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut self-released album. Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954 in Scotland, is a philanthropist as well as a an activist in the political arena. She sings. Following a modest success as a member of the band called The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 80s.
